The Dame Bottle Shop, featuring natural wines from Oregon and afar launches on November 15th, open Wednesday – Sunday from 2pm until close
PORTLAND, Ore. (November 13, 2018) – Dame restaurant celebrates the launch of their brand new bottle shop with a natural wine fair on Wednesday, November 14th, from 6-9pm. Portland’s smallest wine shop focusing on natural wines crafted with care hosts this special wine fair featuring 12 Oregon winemakers pouring 30+ wines. This boisterous gathering will feature wineries will range from exciting up and comers to beloved favorites, including Division Winemaking Company, Ross and Bee Maloof, Fossil & Fawn, Minimus, Beckham Estate Vineyards, Golden Cluster, Pet Sounds, Vincent, Buona Notte, Franchere, Color Collector. Snacks will be available for purchase from Dame Executive Chef Kyle Christy and Sous Chef Natalia Rodriguez Longo, including Fried Rockfish, Albacore Confit, and Farmers Market Vegetables. The open tasting will be $20, waived with purchase of three bottles.
The Dame Bottle Shop will provide an intimate environment to discover and learn about interesting natural wines from around Oregon and across the globe. All wines are are sourced from small producers farming ethically with minimal manipulation in the vineyard and cellar — just grapes and talented winemakers guiding the process, building on years of tradition, while other avant grade producers experiment and push boundaries of conventional winemaking with fun, delicious results.
“We’ve found wonderful natural wines from all over that I am excited to share with the neighborhood, not only when you come in to eat at the restaurant, but at the Bottle Shop, where you can pick up bottles to enjoy at home. We aim to share beautiful, alive wines that are an expression of the people and places they come from,” said Jane Smith, Owner of Dame.
The Dame Bottle Shop will open to the public on November 15th, and will be open 2pm onward, Wednesday – Sunday. The shop will be a neighborhood gathering place featuring limited release wines, exciting up and coming natural wine producers, all offered at a marginal markup. The shop will also feature weekly tastings with winemakers, bringing even more natural wine to the neighborhood.
Dame Bottle Shop will be featuring their hand picked Thanksgiving wines from November 15th through the 18th, and for the procrastinators on November 21st the bottle shop will be tasting 3 white and 3 red wines, perfect for the Thanksgiving table.

We will be closed for dinner for the evening, but doors will be open for drinking, visiting, and snacking all night.
Dame is a neighborhood restaurant serving seasonal food with an emphasis on Northwest seafood and vegetables. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Kyle Christy and Sous Chef Natalia Rodriguez Longo.
