The Reluctant Trading Guide to Crushing it in the Kitchen
Hello Friend,
I hope this email finds you and your family safe, together, and finding the silver linings during this difficult time. (And no, I’m not just talking about the foil linings of our spice tubes.)
Since you are probably cooking more than usual, I thought I’d share some tips about which tools are best for unlocking the aromas of our small-batch spices.
1. Our Mills
Our mills work perfectly with our signature Tellicherry Peppercorns and even with other brands of pepper (though our mills often complain to me in private about having to do so.) Our mills also grind rock salts with ease.
If you like uniform grains, and want to avoid touching your food, you can grind our Icelandic Flake Sea Salt. Or you can just get a Salt Cellar and use your fingers to crumble it. Decisions, decisions.
Our mills are exclusively built with CrushGrind ceramic grinding mechanisms. Best in class. Period. We won’t sell any other type of mill. Exclamation point.
Our Milton Mortar and Pestles are ideal for unleashing the beautiful aroma of seeds, pods, and herbs. With a pour spout, you can also use it to mix guac, sauces, and moles.
The key is the super sharp, stainless steel Microplane rasp on the bottom of the mill. But no worries, it’s safe to use and finger-friendly. Meaning it won’t cut you and cause you to give it the finger.
