Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes Grand Opening

December 30, 2020

Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes & Salads will give away free chicken sundaes at its grand opening event at Bridgeport Village

TIGARD, Ore.—Dec. 30, 2020—Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes & Salads opened its first brick and mortar location last month at 7403 SW Bridgeport Rd. in Bridgeport Village. The restaurant will celebrate its official grand opening on Saturday, January 9, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with free giveaways of its 16-ounce mini chicken sundaes (limit one free sundae per customer). The restaurant has also partnered with a number of other vendors at the shopping complex and other local businesses to offer prizes throughout the day.

“The response to our new brick and mortar at Bridgeport Village has been overwhelming,” said Dennis Gorton, co-owner of the restaurant. “We’ve met so many wonderful customers and introduced a whole new audience to our chicken sundaes. We’re so excited to celebrate our official grand opening; giving away our one-of-a-kind creation is our way of thanking everyone who has supported us on our journey the last five years!”

A Chop Chop Chicken Sundae comes in two sizes: mini (16-ounce) or regular (26-ounce). Served in a take-out container, each sundae starts with a base of either white rice, a blend of brown rice and quinoa, or bean sprouts. Customers then choose a protein of soy ginger chicken, roasted chicken, chipotle lime chicken, soy ginger tofu, or chipotle lime tofu. The sundae is then customized with any or all of the following 11 toppings: fresh bean sprouts, green onions, crushed pineapple, slivered almonds, crunchy chow mein noodles, water chestnuts, celery, coconut, fresh tomatoes, cilantro, and cheddar cheese. Each sundae is then topped with scratch-made, gluten-free chicken gravy or vegetable broth.

The restaurant, which also runs a popular mobile food cart, has added a lineup of chopped salads to its Bridgeport Village menu, including a Cobb, Mediterranean, Caesar, Far East, Southwest, and a build-your-own option. Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes & Salads accommodates nearly all dietary restrictions, including gluten-free, vegan, and Keto.

Chop Chop Chicken Sundaes’ food truck, which was named one of USA Today’s 10Best Food Trucks in Portland in 2019, continues to operate with its existing menu throughout the region.
