his Saturday, July 23, Growing Gardens is set to host its first in-person dining event of the season at its very own renovated office garden!
For the second dinner in the Chef In Your Garden series from Portland’s premier food access nonprofit Growing Gardens, you’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the new Growing Gardens office. So It’s only fitting that this meal features our Growing Gardens Think Tank member Thuy Pham of Mama Dut and our dear friend Fatou Ouattara of Akadi.
This will be a 100% vegan / gluten free Vietnamese X West African collaboration!
Join us on Saturday, July 23rd, for a BBQ-style gathering in our very own backyard. Let’s share an unforgettable meal, including:
Summer slaw with farm fresh vegetables
Kimchi rice jollof with Afro-Viet bbq vegan ribs
and Berry & Peony flower custard
With Vietnamese and West African influences, this is sure to be a meal unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. You can’t find these menu items anywhere else in PDX! Each ticket includes a three-course meal for one, paired with an African wine or non-alcoholic alternative courtesy of our friends at Aurora Elixir.
