Cheese Bar Update – April 8

Hello, friends. Here is an update on things at Cheese Bar.

  • Our new hours are 12-6, Tuesday, Wed, Thurs, Sun; 11-7 Fri and Sat
  • The website is down due to a technical glitch. It should be back up soon and will be updated periodically with inventory changes.
  • We are working on an online store and hope to have that up and running by the end of the week/early next week.
  • New items this week include (all subject to availability):
  • Grand Central bread
  • Cheesemaking kits from Urban Cheesecraft
  • Polenta
  • French green lentils
  • Hot sauce
  • Maple syrup
  • Brown rice
  • Slicing Mozzarella
  • We are continuing to carry (subject to availability):
  • Fully stocked cheese case with old and new favorites
  • Beer, wine, cider
  • Cage-free brown eggs (50¢ each), butter, bread
  • Darigold milk, 2% and whole
  • Stumptown coffee
  • Apples, lemons, limes, etc.
  • Onions, garlic, shallots
  • Flour, sugar, yeast
  • Pasta, beans, rice, canned tomatoes, canned fish
  • Smoked turkey, ham, pastrami, slicing Swiss cheese, brick cheese
Inventory is changing continually. Check Facebook or Instagram for updates. Or call the shop for most current information (503-222-6014). We are looking at pricing and trying to be consistent with other grocery stores/shops in the area. If there is anything you are specifically looking for, please ask!
  • We are practicing social distancing/hygiene in the following ways:
  • We are only admitting one customer person/party into the shop at a time. Customers can wait outside (or just inside the doorway if the weather is crummy) until previous shopper is finished.

  • Customers are welcome to call in orders (503-222-6014) for curbside pickup or pick up at a table inside. Limited delivery is available. Please call or email for more information.
  • Mongers are minimizing contact with customers as much as possible, including a minimum 6-foot distance whenever possible.
  • We are sanitizing all surfaces frequently and washing hands, cleaning counters, credit cards, POS system, etc., between every transaction
  • We are no longer handling credit cards – we have a new system that allows you to insert your card or use Apple Pay/Android Pay. You always have the option of verbaling your credit card number to us or using PayPay (info@cheese-bar.com).
