Celebrating Women in Wine at The Allison Inn & Spa:

March 3, 2020

Throughout the month of March, The Allison Inn, in partnership with Karen MacNeil author of The Wine Bible, is celebrating women in wine with a special program. Further details include:
  • “Women in Wine” Vintner Series: A weekly Thursday night vintner series (March 5th, March 12th, March 19th and March 26th) will take place on property, where guests and the local community can celebrate the Willamette Valley winemakers and taste the local bounty.
  • “Women in Wine” Cocktail Party + Joan Austin Award: Ending with a bang, The Allison will host a cocktail party on March 18, 2020, that will showcase leading women in the Oregon wine industry.
    • Joan Austin Award: One woman will be awarded the Joan Austin Award in honor of Joan Austin, founder of the Allison Inn and lead philanthropist in Oregon and Élevage Oregon grant recipients will be announced. A past grant recipient will share her experiences working in and learning about Oregon wine and donations will also be collected for the Élevage Oregon grant program.
    • Female Mixologist: The one-of-a-kind event will feature a signature cocktail created by a female mixologist in the Portland area and locally-infused hors d-oeuvres by The Allison Executive Chef, Chris Smith.
