Portland Farmers Market 25th Anniversary Dinner and Cookbook Release Party is Thursday, September 29th, 6pm at Xico
Join us for a bountiful four course fall menu, roasted pear & mezcal cocktails, and a peek at the new Portland Farmer’s Market Cookbook featuring local chefs! We’re excited to take part in the Dining Series
and showcase local chiles!
Dinner will be served upstairs in the Xico event space beginning with a cocktail and tortilla making demo!
Chorizo and Black Bean Sopes
Yellow sopes made with Xico‘s stone-ground, organic, non-gmo masa. Our masa is made from corn sourced by Three Sister’s Nixtamal, who buy from small, certified organic farms in Mexico. The sopes are filled with 100-chile chorizo, Oaxacan-style black beans, queso cotija & garlic guajillo salsa.
Chile Relleno Salad
Local Anaheim chile, roasted and filled with zucchini, delicata squash, and fresh mozzarella, served over Gathering Together Farm fall greens, cherry tomatoes, and radishes, in cilantro vinaigrette
Oaxacan Style Lamb
Cattail Creek lamb shoulder steak slow roasted and served with potatoes cooked with allspice and black peppercorn, in tomato sauce made with Gathering Together Farm tomatoes.
Brown Sugar Cake

Wines from Baja exclusive to Xico will be available for purchase.
Tickets are $80 per person and include a roasted pear old fashioned, dinner, and gratuity, and heaps of appreciation and gratitude for your support of our outstanding Farmers Market.
