During our extended time off, our Chef Justin Woodward has been busy cooking at home – a lot!
He has had the opportunity to explore home cooking from different points of view and a wide range of cuisines.
We are excited to share with you some of the meals he has enjoyed the most – in our Quarantine Dinner Series. Unlike Castagna’s tasting menu, these meals represent a more traditional and rustic expression of Chef Justin’s cooking. The theme will change weekly.
Each Friday and Saturday we will have dinners available for pick up at Castagna. New menus will be released every Sunday.
Each dinner feeds two and costs around $65.
The first in the series (available August 7th and 8th) will be ‘Bun Cha’.
Bun cha is a famous Vietnamese dish, perfect for a warm summer night.
Your meal for two includes:
-Grilled fatty pork marinated in a tangy caramelized sauce and grilled over charcoal.
-Chilled vermicelli noodles, butter lettuce cups and market vegetables.
-Garden herbs and pickles made from our local produce.
Sommelier Brent Braun will be offering wine pairing and reserve wine pairing bottles chosen to compliment the meal.
We will be preparing a limited number of boxes each week, so get your order in early!
