Canard Is Coming To Oregon City!

April 15, 2022

News From Pigeon + Friends:
Canard Is Coming To Oregon City!

We have big plans in the works for summer 2022…we’re opening a Canard in Oregon City! The Oregonian’s Michael Russell broke the news this week – read all about it in the link below. We’re hammering away in the new space, the former Grano Bakery at 1500 Washington Street. Our chef de cuisine – and now partner – Taylor Daughtery, who was critical in opening Canard on Burnside, will be leading the charge. Look out for Canard staples on the menu – steam burgers, ice cream, and duck stacks – and some new additions as well like Salisbury steak frites and Duck confit quesadillas. At the end of the day, we want the new Canard to be part of the Oregon City neighborhood at large, and be the go-to spot for everyone, no matter the moment or occasion. Stay tuned to our newsletter and social media for more news and updates as we get closer to our opening date this summer.

As Taylor Daughtery will be leading the charge at the new Canard in Oregon City, we were excited to welcome chef Dana Francisco to the kitchen. Dana has lived all over the world, from Germany to Hawaii to San Diego. He comes to us most recently from Steve Hermann’s hospitality group in Palm Springs. Dana has been putting his spin on the menu at Canard Burnside already, with the introduction of dishes like the pictured Hawaiian Tuna Tostada prepared with avocado, furikake rice cracker, and pickled pineapple. With the introduction of warmer weather, look out for fresh new spring dishes coming soon.

Canard is open Tuesday through Sunday, 4 to 10pm. While we do take reservations for indoor and patio dining, we keep most of our tables ready and available for walk ins. Hope to see you soon!
