Caffé Umbria Celebrates National Espresso Day

November 18, 2019

Just in time for the holiday season, Caffè Umbria’s locations in Portland will host a fundraiser for Friends of the Children, a national nonprofit committed to breaking the cycle of generational poverty.

On National Espresso Day on Saturday, November 23 , for every customer who orders an espresso ($2.75 to $3.25), espresso macchiato ($3.25 to $3.75) or espresso con panna ($3.50 to $4), Caffè Umbria will donate $1 to Friends of the Children.

In the spirit of the holidays, customers are also encouraged to make a donation to their local chapter of Friends of the Children. Accepted donations include general youth sizes of warm hats/beanies, gloves, non-perishable food (including popcorn and baking mixes), underwear (all kids sizes), children’s books (culturally relevant), family movies (culturally relevant), warm throw blankets, family games (board games etc.), gift cards for families to shop for the holidays, arts and crafts (coloring books, slime kit, science kit), cooking supplies (hand mixer, pot or pan, kids cookbook).
