Burgerville Introduces Truffle Shoestring Fries to its Seasonal Menu

February 5, 2019

Local burger joint celebrates culinary delicacy for a limited time

VANCOUVER, Wash. (Feb. 5, 2019) – Burgerville is pleased to introduce a brand-new side to its rotating menu of seasonal Pacific Northwest favorites. Truffle Shoestring Fries are available for a limited time throughout Burgerville’s 42 locations.

Hot from the fryer, Burgerville’s shoestring-cut fries are tossed with white truffle oil and lightly seasoned with Oregon’s own Jacobsen Salt Co. White Truffle Salt. The fries are then lightly garnished with freshly cut parsley. Burgerville’s Truffle Shoestring Fries are delicious on their own or dipped in Burgerville’s garlic aioli.“
Our Truffle Shoestring Fries are crisp on the outside with a light, airy texture on the inside,” shared Burgerville Head Chef Becky McGrath. “The unique flavor of the white truffles provides a bite that is mildly salty with earthy undertones. The fries are garnished with parsley to add a brightness that complements the essence of the white truffle.”
Truffles are a form of mushroom that develops underground in the root systems of Douglas Fir trees. The season for harvesting winter white truffles runs from January through April, making the flavor profile especially relevant for this time of year.
Originally associated with a specialty food environment, truffles have become more mainstream in recent years, but like so many of the menu items at Burgerville, their flavor profile isn’t commonly found at a quick-service restaurant.
Burgerville’s Truffle Shoestring Fries are available now through the end of March. For more information, visit Burgerville.com and follow Burgerville on Facebook and Instagram.
