Burgerville Delights in the Summer Flavors of Fresh Oregon Berries

June 13, 2019

Northwest chain partners with local Liepold Farms on a variety of juicy seasonal berry desserts that will rotate throughout the summer

VANCOUVER, Wash. (June 13, 2019) –– Oregon fresh berry season has arrived in the Pacific Northwest, and Burgerville is celebrating with the annual return of its delicious seasonal treats, including Oregon Fresh Berry Milkshakes, Bliss Shakes, Lemonades, Shortcakes, and Sundaes.

Burgerville is bringing its guests the sweet, juicy taste of summer in a variety of desserts featuring fresh berries grown at Liepold Farms, a five-generation family farm located in Boring, Ore. Burgerville has partnered with Liepold Farms for its fresh Oregon strawberries, raspberries and marionberries for more than a decade.

Burgerville’s fresh Oregon berry desserts follow Mother Nature’s calendar in terms of availability, and the fresh berry desserts will rotate as each type of berry ripens and becomes available, with strawberries leading the way.

Sweet and vibrant Hood and Puget Crimson strawberries are now available in four different ways: the Oregon Fresh Strawberry Milkshake features a thick blend of fresh ripe strawberries and ice cream topped with real whipping cream and more freshly cut strawberries; the Oregon Fresh Strawberry Bliss Shake is a 100% plant-based, dairy-free shake made with Coconut Bliss®, and blended with freshly cut strawberries; the Oregon Fresh Strawberry Lemonade is a refreshing drink with a hint of sweet tartness from the lemonade and freshly cut strawberries; and the Oregon Fresh Strawberry Shortcake is a delicate buttery biscuit, baked fresh daily in the restaurants, that’s topped with smooth real ice cream and freshly cut sweet strawberries.

Oregon fresh raspberries will follow, showcasing the sweetness of raspberries and their underlying tartness. Once in season, the fruit will be available as an Oregon Fresh Raspberry Milkshake, a thick blend of fresh ripe raspberries and ice cream topped with real whipping cream and more fresh raspberries; as an Oregon Fresh Raspberry Bliss Shake, made with Coconut Bliss®; as an Oregon Fresh Raspberry Lemonade, in which the fresh raspberries are mixed with refreshing lemonade; and as an Oregon Fresh Raspberry Sundae.

Following raspberries comes the Marionberry––a cross between two different blackberries, but larger, sweeter and juicier––which shines in Burgerville’s Oregon Fresh Marionberry Milkshake, a thick blend of sweet, tart Marionberries and ice cream topped with real whipping cream and more Marionberries; as well as in the Oregon Fresh Marionberry Bliss Shake, the Oregon Fresh Marionberry Lemonade and the Oregon Fresh Marionberry Sundae.

Oregon’s fresh berries are world-renowned and bursting with flavor. They flourish in the Northwest’s temperate growing climate, thriving on the region’s rich volcanic soil, clean mountain air, pure Pacific Northwest water, long cool spring months, and hot summer days.

Prices for Burgerville’s Oregon Fresh Berry desserts range from $2.29 to $6.19, depending on menu item and size, and are available now through the summer. For more information, visit Burgerville.com and follow Burgerville on Facebook and Instagram.
