Burgerville Debuts New Almond Butter Milkshake

March 6, 2019

Local favorite partners with Ground Up PDX and Oregon Growers to create a new seasonal treat

VANCOUVER, Wash. (March 6, 2019) – Burgerville is pleased to introduce a brand-new milkshake to its rotating menu of seasonal favorites with ingredients sourced from the Pacific Northwest. The Almond Butter Milkshake is a delicious treat that is available now for a limited time throughout Burgerville’s 42 restaurant locations.

“Our Almond Butter Milkshake melds the nutty flavors of roasted almonds and cashews with a touch of Oregon honey for sweetness,” explained Chef Becky McGrath. “The almond cashew butter is then blended with vanilla ice cream and topped with a dollop of Oregon strawberry jam and real whipped cream for an enticing combination.”

Burgerville chose to partner with two respected local companies on the new shake: Portland-based Ground Up PDX and Hood River-based Oregon Growers.
Based in Portland, Ground Up PDX makes delicious nut butters that are peanut-free, while providing employment opportunities to women overcoming adversity. The company hires women in transition to work part-time, providing them with job skills, on-the-job mentoring, and ultimately the confidence to transition into their next phase of life.
Located in Hood River, Oregon Growers produces farm-direct food from Pacific Northwest ingredients, cultivating long-term partnerships with regional growers while encouraging and supporting sustainable growing and operating practices. Its strawberry jam used in Burgerville’s new shake is made with fresh, peak-of-the-season Oregon strawberries from the Willamette Valley.

Burgerville’s Almond Butter Milkshake is available now through April 15. For more information visit Burgerville.com and its blog, ServewithLove.us and follow the company on Facebook and Instagram.
