The newest cocktail pop-up bar comes to Portland, Oregon this week.
Bunny Bar will start on the first day of spring, Wednesday, March 20, 2019. This playful concept, from the creative culinary agency, JCPlaysWithFood, will be delivered by Bar Miranda. Recently named one of the “hottest cocktail bars in Portland,” Bar Miranda creates professionally-developed, craft cocktails. Eater Pdx’s Alex Frane described the the mezzanine space as “cheerful and electric-tinged.”
JCPlaysWithFood is a division of Powerhouse PDX, Inc. The agency’s founder/owner, Joy Church, is excited to see her Bunny Bar dream come true. Church brought her idea to Bar Miranda’s owners earlier this year in hopes of a collaboration. She selected Bar Miranda because of its consistent quality, creativity, and bar design. “Bar Miranda is the perfect backdrop for the first ever Bunny Bar pop-up. The pink and turquoise walls, the vintage touches, and the blue-tiled bar are absolutely gorgeous and scream “spring”. The opportunity to work with Malia Myers and Melaney Schmidt, the creative duo behind Public Provisions and Bar Miranda is yet another dream come true,” Church says. “They have incredible talent, boundless energy, and exquisite taste. I am thrilled to partner with Malia and Melaney on Bunny Bar.”
“We are so happy to collaborate with Joy on this fun, fresh, and springy pop-up concept. We want Bar Miranda to provide a sense of sunshine to its guests and hosting this celebration of spring feels like a natural fit! We are so excited to introduce a limited menu of new refreshing cocktails designed exclusively for Bunny Bar.”
