Blueberry Recipe Roundup
Seasonal Fruit Cobbler Bars
This recipe from Nicki at Storybook Farm via Cook First Portland is a simple, make-ahead way to highlight seasonal fruit.
We paired blueberries with apricot and reduced the fruits in home-pressed grape juice!
The easiest way to store berries is to use the breathable container they came in. Go ahead and pop a napkin in the bottom to absorb any excess moisture. Store them in the refrigerator for up to 10 days. Give ’em a rinse immediately before snacking and using in recipes.
About Fill Your Pantry
Fill Your Pantry is a bulk purchasing event series organized by a coalition of local food system organizations around Portland, Oregon. Its purpose is to support small-scale local farmers by providing an opportunity to move large quantities crops during crucial moments throughout the year; highly perishable summer crops during peak season, and storage crops in the winter when sales are typically the lowest.
