BLUE STAR DONUTS OPENS PROGRESS RIDGE LOCATION WITH A DONUT GIVEAWAY
Blue Star to offer free donuts for the grand opening of new Progress Ridge location on Saturday, November 11
Portland, Ore. (November 2, 2017)- Portland’s beloved gourmet donut shop will be opening its seventh Oregon location at Progress Ridge Townsquare in Beaverton, located among the businesses sharing the parking lot adjacent to SW Barrows Road near the popular Cinetopia Theater. The Progress Ridge location will carry the full selection of brioche, buttermilk, and cake donut favorites, as well as special Portland-exclusive donut flavors, and serve local roasting darling Coava Coffee’s unique “Blue Star Blend” drip coffee. Blue Star and Coava were recently voted #1 in Willamette Week’s 2017 “Best of Portland” awards.
“There have been so many requests over the past few years from fans in Beaverton and Tigard, it’s been a dream of ours that’s now finally a reality,” adds Katie Poppe, CEO and Blue Star owner. “We couldn’t be more excited. To all the fans responsible for all those emails and not-so-subtle hints over the years, we heard you! We’re coming for you! And we’re bringing donuts.” Blue Star will be joining the ranks of popular Portland brands like La Provence, Little Big Burger, and New Seasons Market, further increasing the local flavor in Progress Ridge.
To celebrate its newest opening and introduce itself to the neighborhood, Blue Star will give a free donut to guests who visit the shop on Saturday, November 11th. The grand opening giveaway will start at 10am Saturday, with one free donut per person until the last Blueberry Bourbon Basil or Valrhona Chocolate Crunch is claimed. The shop will be open for regular hours beginning Sunday the 12th, 6am until 8pm or sold out.
