Black Sheep Fresh Brebis
The signs of Spring are popping up everywhere! The Daffodils are blooming, the birds are chirping, and lambing season has come to an end, which means Fresh Brebis is back in stock! Black Sheep Creamery’s fresh sheep’s milk cheese is one of our most anticipated and favorite local cheeses we carry. Light, fluffy, fresh and tangy! Fresh Brebis is a fantastic cheese for the kitchen. It’s a no-brainer addition to a multitude of salads, also makes a great ravioli stuffing and is AMAZING with fruit and honey. You really can’t go wrong with this cheese!

Easter Wines Tasting
Thursday, March 29th, 5:30-7:30pm
Matt Howe of Estelle Wines will be joining us for this week’s wine tasting. He will be pouring a selection of both new and old world wines that are perfect for spring and will make a great addition to your Easter celebration!
As usual, the tasting will be Thursday, from 5:30 to 7:30.
Here is what Matt will be pouring:
Love & Squalor, Riesling, Willamette Valley, 2014
Love & Squalor’s 2014 Riesling is made from multi-vineyard blend. The grapes come from Roncali Vineyard in the Eugene Coastal Foothills, Sunnyside Vineyard in Salem and Cuddihy Vineyard in Yamhill-Carlton. This wine is a great example of a 2014 vintage, which is known for its great aromatics, texture, and richness in white wines. This Riesling has a perfect balance of sugar, acid, and alcohol making it an elegant, dry wine. It has notes of stone fruit, citrus, and fresh herbs.
Little Wing Wines, Rose of Pinot Noir/Pinot Blanc/Viognier, Willamette Valley, 2017
This rose is made from a blend of grapes from the Willamette Valley, Pinot Noir contributing flavors of fruit and body, the Pinot Blanc adding complexity and minerality, and the Viognier adding an aromatic lift. The resulting wine is elegant and complex with refreshing acid and minerality. This rose pairs perfectly with fresh cheeses and seafood and will be amazing for hot summer days to come!
Artuke Bodegas Y Vinedos, Artuke Rioja, Spain
This red wine is made from a blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Viura grapes from Artuke, a family owned and operated estate in Banos de Ebro, Rioja. Although this vineyard is within the DO region of Rioja, the Blanco family decided to take a risk and make wines that don’t follow the Rioja classification. Their understanding of the land persuaded them to make wine in a way that they believe better represents the fruit.
Ca’D’Gal, Moscato D’Asti, ‘Lumine,’ Piedmont, Italy, 2012
‘Lumine’ is a beautiful example of Moscato D’Asti. This aromatic sparkling wine made from 100% Moscato Bianco. It has a complex bouquet exhibiting rosemary, musk, peach, and green apple. The lively bubbles support the sugar present in this wine. This wine is perfect for serving with dessert and would make a great addition to Easter brunch!
