Bird Box Menu for August 1st 

New Bird Box Menu Alert! 
Introducing a brand new menu from the Le Pigeon kitchen, available for pickup on August 1st. We are preparing a limited number of Bird Box meal kits for two each week available for pick up! Fly over for pick up, Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m.

This week’s menu features a Butter Lettuce Salad, Grilled Tri-Tip, Roasted Baby Potatoes, Heirloom Beans, and Banana Cream Pie Cups for dessert ($70 for two people).

Orders will open on Sunday at noon (available until sold out) for a Saturday 8/1 pickup, between 12 and 4 p.m. at Le Pigeon.

The Bird Boxes and additional items, including wines and Mrs. Pickles Granola, will open for ordering beginning this Sunday 7/26 at Noon on lepigeon.com.

Andy’s Wine Pairings
Add a bottle (or two) of handpicked wines from our wine director to your Bird Box meal. Did you know Canard is up for a James Beard award this year for Outstanding Wine Program?

Friulano, Brazan, I Clivi, 2015, Graziano, Friuli $35

I Clivi is a small winery specializing in production of the Friulano grape native to the eponymous region in Northern Italy.  This bottling is sourced from a parcel of 80-year old vines right next to the Slovenian border. Fermented and aged in stainless steel on fine-lees for 18 months.  This wine is rich in texture and has aromas of peach, grapefruit, and white flowers. The finish is lively though with citrus and stones.  It is delicious now, and will continue to evolve for a decade to come.

Toroldego, Sagarzon, Foradori, 2018, Alto Adige $47

Elisabeta Foradori is the Queen of the Toroldego grape.  She has worked for decades to resurrect and preserve the biodiversity of the grape varieties indigenous to the Dolomite Mountains of Northern Italy. Sgarzon is a cool sandy vineyard with vines averaging 25 years old on the Campo Rotaliano plateau – a broad, flat, sunny and well-drained expanse of vines in the shadow of the Dolomites. As with all Foradori wines, the farming is certified-biodynamic and the harvest is by hand. Sgarzon is destemmed, whole berries are put in clay amphorae for spontaneous fermentation, and aged for 8 months.The wine shows berries, spices, and flowers and has great weight and presence, with well integrated tannins.

All of the meals will include 3-courses, a fancy salad for assembling at home, a protein with sides packed ready for re-heating, and dessert. Each box is designed to be heated at home and will generously feed two humans.

Dishes will vary each week.

All boxes are nut free, but we are unable to accommodate any further dietary restrictions or modifications at this time.

Le Pigeon will be following strict safety procedures, and will offer curbside pickup or will bring the meal to your car.
