Some of the best Kosher Hamantaschen cookies in the country are being made right here in Portland by Bowery Bagels, and they are available to ship nationally for Purim!
Purim, the Jewish holiday celebrated by giving gifts of food and drink to friends, making charitable donations and eating a feast meal se’udat Purim’, falls on March 11th and March 12th this year. Bowery Bagels is celebrating the holiday with their fantastic traditional Hamantaschen — delicious triangular cookies with sweet filling.
Bowery Bagels owner Michael Madigan and his team tested and researched to create the perfect dough and filling recipes for an ideal Hamantaschen. They are available in three flavors: prune, apricot, or poppy seed hazelnut filling. The Hamantaschen are made in Bowery’s Kosher-certified bakery and are Rabbi-approved.
Customers can order packs of their favorite individual flavors, or an assortment in packs of 6 – available to pick up at the downtown Portland shop or for shipping by the dozen from March 3rd-March 9th – a perfect gift to send to friends celebrating Purim anywhere in the country.
