An exciting dinner from Urban Farmer and The Side Yard Farm is happening next week. The Side Yard Farm’s Stacey Givens hosts Urban Farmer’s Executive Sous Chef, Chris Starkus for a hyperlocal dinner at Givens’ farm in northeast Portland’s Cully neighborhood. The chefs will create a five-course dinner with all produce sourced from The Side Yard Farm and foraged within a one-mile radius. Nicky USA is providing sustainably farmed meats for the dinner and Flying Fish is bringing salmon. Dogwood Distilling will feature spirit forward cocktails with their gin, vodka and absinthe. Expect a neighbor’s goat milk, edible wild weeds, local duck and chicken eggs, and Bee Local honey on the menu. Dinner will be served family style on a small covered hillock overlooking the garden.
