Our newer sister restaurant Chesa, honoring the legacy of Jose’s father, and 180, the only xurreria of its kind in the USA, serving up made to order x(ch)urros that are winning the hearts and smiles on the Pacific North West. This trip is a rare opportunity to get to know and bond with Chef Jose outside of work (something no one else gets to do!). You may even meet the man who shaped his character and his love of food, his Dad, Jose Sr.
Taste the best of the Boqueria, meet chefs like Nandu Jubany at Can Jubany, where Chef Jose worked under the tutelage of Chef Nandu on his way to becoming one of the USA’s most renowned Spanish chefs. Eat at Michelin-starred restaurants, and some places under the radar that have special meaning to Chef Jose. We will have some special surprises in store that can only be experienced because of Jose’s strong contacts in Barcelona. In past years, our guests were treated to dining experiences at Tickets Bar, and el Celler de Can Roca, both rated among the best restaurants in the world, with reservations over a year out. Our trips include accommodations in a beautiful, centrally located
4-Star hotel (We have reserved deluxe balcony rooms at the H10 Urquinaona Plaza Hotel, and will confirm once we know the number of guests), hotel taxes, buffet breakfast, all transfers to and from the airport, at least 10 dining experiences throughout the trip, a welcome lunch in Portland to meet your fellow travelers ahead of time, and transportation to our excursions away from the city. They do NOT include airfare or trip insurance, which we encourage you to find online.
