Bailey’s Taproom CellarFest and 10th Anniversary Celebration

And a First Look at Events Through June (Part One)

Bailey’s Taproom Rings in 10 Year Celebration with CellarFest 2017

Portland, Oregon – In August of 2007, Bailey’s Taproom opened it’s 20

rotating-tap craft-beer bar to a Portland, Oregon landscape largely void of beer bars as we now know them. During the 10 years since then, Portland, the Pacific Northwest, and the nation as a whole have seen a significant rise in the number of craft-beer drinkers, products, breweries and beer drinking establishments. Much has changed.

What hasn’t changed is the dedicated team that helped grow Bailey’s Taproom into a destination for locals and tourists to drink, explore, and learn about craft-beer from Oregon, the West Coast, and beyond from breweries old and new.

Beginning with this January’s CellarFest, Bailey’s Taproom will celebrate 10 years of service with a year’s worth of collaborations, events, and the staple beer fests you’ve come to know.

Included in this kit are promotional materials for CellarFest and our special 10 Year logos. There is also a link to our media library for this year’s events.

Be a part of the celebration! Use hashtag #baileys10year to document your experience online or for additional information and updates throughout the year.

Featured Events (Jan – June 2017)

January 21  – CellarFest 2017

We debuted CellarFest in the winter of 2010 with the idea of gaining more knowledge about the aging process and cellaring capability of certain beers. We tuck away a handful of kegs yearly that we think will evolve in some way over time. Oxidation and time are two elements that may allow beers to open up and unveil new flavors. Sometimes, harsher alcohol notes mellow out over the years and we get a product with rounder edges and softer tones. Either way, we love to see how some of our favorite beers change and gain further insight into the lifespan of certain styles & labels.

Now in it’s 8th year, CellarFest has become one of our most anticipated annual events. This year’s iteration is the official kickoff for our year-long 10 year celebration. Join us for a day of exploration into the fine art of cellaring beer. Don’t forget to share your tasting notes with us! Cheers

Instagram post 2188801124419993623_2988593889 New Lionheart Coffee in downtown Beaverton at 1st and Watson opened today. If anything like their first location it will be the best coffee in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. Original location is on SW SchollsFerry Road. Even better, it’s next door to Big’s Chicken.

Instagram post 2132255118958341690_2988593889 Nice lunch of chicken molé at Mixteca at the Portland Mercado. I hate to say it, but their molé is as good as I make at home (though I’m not a huge fan of chicken breast, theirs was perfectly cooked)
