Bae’s Chicken, Oregon’s only fast-casual, organic fried chicken restaurant, opens to the public on Wednesday, November 6, at 225 Southwest Ash Street in downtown Portland, Oregon.
On Saturday, November 2, starting at noon, Bae’s will serve a complimentary organic fried chicken sandwich, with a side of cauliflower coleslaw, to the first 1,000 guests who visit their Old Town location in downtown Portland.
Bae’s Chicken is the brainchild of Micah Camden (best known as the driving force behind Little Big Burger, Blue Star Donuts, Boxer Ramen and SuperDeluxe) and Portland-born NFL defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Bae’s Chicken serves both grilled and fried chicken in a variety of preparations: wings will be fried and perched on top of waffles, bones will boil down into stocks and gravy, and thighs and breasts will end up sandwiched, either fried with sweet tea mayo or grilled. Bae’s nuggets are split, deboned drumsticks that are fried skin-on and served with white pepper gravy and fermented hot sauce.
Bae’s Chicken is located at 225 SW Ash St., Portland, OR 97204.
