PORTLAND, Ore. (May 23, 2017) – Aviary chef/owner Sarah Pliner is excited to debut the restaurant’s first-ever burger, part of the happy hour menu. Available Monday through Friday from 5 – 7 p.m. happy hour just got a whole lot happier with Sarah’s Banh Mi Burger ($8), which is made with a beef patty, seasoned with lemongrass, kaffir lime, fish sauce, and garlic. It’s served with white cheddar, pickled carrots, jalapeños, cilantro, Kewpie mayo, hoisin and a deep fried egg between a Pearl Bakery ciabatta bun. The Aviary burger is a must-try in Portland, made in true Aviary fashion, channeling Asian flavors, with chef Pliner’s notable complex and inventive cooking style. Insider tip, Aviary’s happy hour is available in the restaurant, at the bar, and on the patio to enjoy warm summer evenings.
One of the best Happy Hour offerings in town, the burger is now available alongside other Aviary Happy Hour stand outs like Brussels Sprout Nachos, Japanese Eggplant and the Slaw Dog. On the beverage side, Aviary offers draft beer, house wine with a selection of red, white or rosé and a daily special cocktail from bar manager Justin Garcidiaz.
