Celebrate with a signature Slaw Dog any time throughout the restaurant or a special $8 pairing of a Slaw Dog and Thunder Island Brewing ‘Sojourner’ Hefeweizen
PORTLAND, Ore (July 7, 2017) Aviary has a little known, but powerful item on their happy hour menu. A hot dog! Portland’s destination for artfully crafted cuisine of classic French technique applied to exotic Eastern flavors and the freshest ingredients of the season, will celebrate National Hot Dog Day on July 19th with the Slaw Dog. A long-standing all-American salute on the Aviary happy hour menu, the Slaw Dog features a house smoked sausage with slaw and bread & butter pickles that Willamette Week called “the city’s best frankfurter” in their 2017 bar guide. On Wednesday, July 19th, Aviary plans to celebrate the Slaw Dog all night long by breaking custom and serving the normally $7 Slaw Dogs from 5pm – 10pm instead of the typical happy hour duration from 5pm – 7pm. To make things even more festive, Aviary has partnered with Thunder Island Brewing, known for it’s celebrated, yet notoriously hard to find brews. Just for National Hot Dog Day, guests can enjoy a special deal of a Slaw Dog and Thunder Island Brewing ‘Sojourner’ Hefeweizen for only $8. Enjoy this deal all night long on the patio, at the bar, and in the restaurant.
