6th Annual Spring for Zenger event kicks off April 13
Portland, OR: Local restaurants, bars, coffee shops, garden supply stories and nurseries are celebrating spring this year by supporting Zenger Farm. April 13-17, participating area businesses will donate a percent of a day’s proceeds to support Zenger Farm’s educational programming and work to ensure access to good food for all.
“Spring for Zenger is a fun and easy way to support local businesses and Zenger Farm at the same time,” says Mike Wenrick, Zenger Farm’s Executive Director.
“Stumptown is thrilled to be a part of Spring for Zenger again this year. It allows our customers to learn about our partnership with Zenger Farm, and highlights our commitment to small-scale, local farming,” says Marty Wall, Vice President of Sales for Stumptown Coffee Roasters.
Zenger Farm is also running a social media photo contest during Spring for Zenger this year. Just take a picture of yourself at a participating location, post online with the hashtag #springforzenger, and you could win a week’s worth of veggies from the Zenger Farm fields.
To help out, simply visit any businesses on the day they are participating, and 15% of what you purchase goes to Zenger Farm.
