Anne Amie Vineyards was founded in 1999, formerly the historic Chateau Benoit Winery, with the vision to create wines of the highest quality. The estate vineyards are split between two locations in the Willamette Valley, featuring a LIVE certified winery and vineyards in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and LIVE certified vineyards on the steep slopes of the Chehalem Mountains AVA. Pinot reigns supreme at Anne Amie Vineyards with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc forming the heart of the estate focused production. In support, Old-World inspired méthode champenoise sparkling wines and solera aged dessert wines. Winemaker Thomas Houseman employs a light touch in the cellar, using only small fermenters and focusing on indigenous yeast, gravity-flow, extended lees contact and bottle age to bring out the personality of each variety, vineyard, and vintage. Only moderate amounts of new oak barrels are used each vintage in order not to overpower these characteristics. Our goal is to produce elegant, terroir-driven wines that emphasize complexity over power.
