ALTO BAJO PLANS MEXICO RELIEF FUNDRAISER
Modern Mexican Restaurant joins forces with celebrity-backed Latino start-up to raise funds for those in need following the catastrophic earthquake
Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 5pm-8pm
WHAT: Join Alto Bajo in raising money and awareness for the devastated Mexico City and surrounding states at its upcoming fundraiser event on November 5, 2017.
Following one of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded in Mexico, toppling hundreds of buildings and killing at least 300 people, Alto Bajo has partnered with the local Latino startup, CLIQA, backing grass roots movement led by actors Diego Luna and Gael Garcia with support from several Mexican celebrities and the some players from the Portland Timbers.
CLIQA is committed to provide basic survival kits for families during this desperate time of need and to rebuild hospitals, schools and homes/shelters. 100 percent of the funds are sent directly to local organizations and social initiatives dedicated to helping those most affected by this disaster. In just three weeks, the non-profit has raised over $1 million.
The private ticketed event will offer guests a fun-filled evening with live entertainment from local band Matizes and Luna Azul Trio, an interactive Photo Booth and delicious modern Mexican F&B – from whole pic cochinita pibil, ceviche tostadas and hazelnut chocolate polvorones to Alto Bajo Sidra Del Sol Hard Cider and Heart Mexico Margaritas.
Attendees will also get exclusive access to a Silent Auction, featuring signed championship jerseys from Portland Timers players, including Dairon Asprilla, Diego Chara, Alvas Powell and Fanendo Adi.
