Al fresco anniversary dinner at Urdaneta (literally) on Alberta Street

July 15, 2019

On Sunday, July 28th, Urdaneta in NE Portland will be hosting a very special third anniversary street-side al fresco dinner on Alberta Street! The dinner will take place literally in the middle of Alberta Street (!) in front of their restaurant and will feature one long table running down the street (which is sure to be visually beautiful!!). Link to tickets here! FYI Jasper from Son of Man will be on-site during the event pouring his Basque-style cider!

Here are the details:

Soak up a perfect summer evening with us, with one long table stretching down Alberta Street and watch the sun go down with amazing food, wine, and good company. As usual, this menu will pull from the inspiration of Chef Javier Canteras, his blend of Spanish and Basque roots with Pacific NW ingredients, and exceptional creativity. This will be a very special dinner, with some surprises thrown in along the way! A portion of this dinners proceeds will go to benefit the community that has supported us so wonderfully, including the Albert Main Street and Beautiful Portland, providing hot meals to the homeless. Come raise a glass with us, we look forward to a wonderful summer evening!

This dinner is part of Urdaneta’s Basque Supper Club series, which focuses on highlighting the stellar ingredients of the season, using traditional Basque dishes and recipes as the root inspiration executed with modern and whimsical techniques. The spirit behind this dinner in particular will be one of celebration, of the season and ingredients, of Urdaneta and it’s succes, and of Alberta St. and the community they are a part of.

Some dishes that will be served at the event include, but aren’t limited to: Oyster Liquor Sphere with oyster mayo and oyster sauce; Seared Scallops with aerated foie gras, fermented corn, and cherry puree (a reinvention of a dish from their very first Basque Supper Club they ever did a few years ago!).
