A giant cow is coming to Portland!

May 14, 2019

Turkey Hill’s Good Mooed Tour is Bringing Free Ice Cream and its 13-Foot Giant Cow

Tour aims to win fans in new markets as part of Turkey Hill Dairy’s westward expansion

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (MAY 14, 2019) — Grab a spoon, America: Turkey Hill Dairy’s Good Mooed Tour is coming to a city near you, and it’s giving away free ice cream during its journey across the United States.

The 2019 Good Mooed Tour helps broaden awareness for Turkey Hill Dairy, which produces the fourth largest-selling premium ice cream brand in the nation, and earn new fans as the company expands westward. The tour features samples of free Turkey Hill Dairy premium ice cream and its iconic, photo-friendly, 13 ½ -foot Giant Cow.

According to Turkey Hill President John Cox, “The Good Mooed Tour is our way of introducing our ice cream to new fans fans in new states, new cities and new stores, while also getting to know a little bit about them. Bringing smiles to people’s faces — either with our Giant Cow or a sample of our ice cream – is what the tour is really all about.”

After making the 2,600-mile journey from its home base in the farm country of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to the west coast, the tour is making stops in Seattle, Portland, Chicago and St. Louis this summer, where it can be found at events of all sizes, from grocery stores to state fairs to music festivals.

In keeping with the “good mooed” theme, some stops will give visitors a chance to recharge their smartphones at a charging station or sit and relax in chairs while they enjoy a sample of Turkey Hill All Natural Ice Cream or Decadent Delights Bars, and take selfies with the Turkey Hill’s Giant Cow.

A selection of tour stops is listed below. For a full schedule of Good Mooed Tour stops, visit TurkeyHill.com/GoodMooedTour or follow the Tour on Turkey Hill’s Facebook and Twitter pages or on the Turkey Hill Nation.
