The FALL brings us exciting news.
Executive Chef Perry Austin
A long-time fisherman and forager, Executive Chef Perry Austin has always had a love for cooking. Before making his way into the kitchen, Perry was knocking on the back doors of restaurants selling wild mushrooms in Northern California. This eventually led to his first kitchen job, working at a farm-to-table restaurant in his hometown of Sebastopol, California. Since then, he’s spent the past nine years honing his craft. In 2016 he moved to Portland and worked up the ranks to chef de cuisine at Tasty N Alder, and later Toro Bravo, where he built relationships with local farmers, ranchers, and foragers. In Winter of 2021 Perry joined a Cena Ristorante as Executive Chef, where he’s been able to pair his love for seasonal Italian cooking traditions with the unique ingredients the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
With the first autumn rains expect to see chanterelles and porcini popping up on our menu along with beautiful local produce and Sudan Farms Lamb. We are excited to see what this Fall season brings and look forward to sharing its bounty with you!
Open on Mondays
a Cena is happy to announce that we will be opening Monday evening starting September 12th, 2022. As we continue our return to normal, we understood the demand for being open seven days a week.
It is exciting news for our colleagues in the hospitality industry also who have been unable to stop by a Cena because they work most nights except Monday. As a happy thought for our industry friends we will offer 50% off of selected bottles of wine with their dinner. You will need to present your Food Handlers Card or your OLCC card.
We are a community minded…
