When we first opened our factory and café on Valencia Street, we wanted to showcase something difficult to find in America: a great hot chocolate. While traveling in Europe, whether in upscale chocolate cafés or small train station stands, we were always surprised that hot chocolate was a first-class item, and we dreamed of bringing some of that magic back home with us. We were thrilled at the response when we opened our doors to a receptive — and often cold and foggy — San Francisco.
Since Covid, I’ve found myself missing the café, but enjoying my new daily ritual of making hot chocolate at home. So just in time for winter, we’re bringing back our Hot Chocolate Trio, but this year with a twist: two of our most popular hot chocolates in SF, plus one popular in Japan. You can make them at home or send them as a perfect gift to hot chocolate lovers or those missing San Francisco.
Our take on the American classic
Spicy and flavorful homage to our neighborhood
Lightly roasted Japanese green tea, featuring subtle smoky notes and a soothing finish
Each vial is made with function and reusability in mind. The tapered amber glass bottles are custom made in Japan and designed by our friend Remy (of our chocolate chips fame).
Hope these hot chocolates bring some joy for the holidays.
