The result of the 2014 ”Auvegne” Rosé of Gamay Noir was a vibrant and crisp rosé wine with mineral intensity and is more akin to white wine fruit components than a red varietal. Reminiscent of Beaujolais rosés with aromatics that range from mixed honeydew and cantaloupe melons to peach hard candy and light early strawberry. The palate is bright and mineral rich with a kind of deliciously salty fruit salad. The wine is light bodied and very vibrant (especially for the vintage), and has a beautiful pink salmon color.

Salt & Straw’s Dandelion Sorbet w/ Spring Flowers features rose petals: 100% pure joy. Is life disappointing you because edible spring flowers are not embedded in all of your favorite foods? Here is your solution. A pale yellow, sunshiny sorbet with a pleasant hint of elderberry and dandelion wine that’s chock-full of gorgeous, edible spring flowers. This is one of our most difficult ice creams to make because we have to hand-place every flower into the ice cream, but man, is it beautiful: blue and white borage; purple, yellow, and orange violas; and bright pink rose petals decant playfulness and glee into your hopeful heart.
