2nd Annual Agave on Fire at Xico, Cantina Xica and Guero!

October 1, 2019

2nd Annual Agave on Fire: October 12th & 13th!

We’re so excited to announce Agave on Fire 2019! Last year was a huge success and this year promises to be even better!

Saturday, October 12th we’ll start with a Cocktail Kick Off featuring 7 specialty cocktails designed by Mezcal brand ambassadors and owners at our new NW location. We hope you’re as excited as we are to try all seven cocktails, and meet the makers! Light bites provided, and more substantial food by Cantina Xica available for purchase.

$15 admission to the Cocktail Kick Off buys entry to the party and 1 of the 7 signature cocktails. Additional drink tickets will be available for purchase at the party. Let the Mezcal flow!

Sunday, October 13th is when all 30+ lovely bottles are opened and available for tasting! The Grand Tasting will be held at Xico on SE Division. 14 brands and multiple expressions from each will make for a fine selection of educational, delicious, and intoxicating research! Join us at Xico on Division for the main event!

Classes on Mezcal will take place during the Grand Tasting in our upstairs event space on SE Division. This year’s teachers are Erin Sullivan of Sombra, Mariah Kunkel of Banhez and Francisco Terrazas of Vago. The classes will focus on Innovation in Mezcal Production as the fast changing Mezcal industry has begun to employ truly ground breaking technology. Sombra, Vago and Banhez are at the forefront. We encourage all who attend the tasting to take advantage of these classes led by experts in the field of Mezcal. Classes are included with the price of admission.

Al pastor tacos and endless Mezcal pours at Güero, host of the Agave on Fire After Party will follow the Grand Tasting, 4-10pm Sunday, October 13th! Bring your wristband from either of the Agave on Fire Xico / Xica Cantina events for free admission. Doorsale wristbands for $20. Enjoy tacos al pastor from El Güero himself and a first glance inside Güero’s soon-to-open Mezcal lounge while the bar team keeps your copita full of Mezcal from Banhez and more. Special menu of cocktails showcasing new perspectives on mixing with Mezcal available, alongside a full collection of agave spirits.
