As a result of the success of June’s Portland Dining Month, diners can continue to enjoy the 3-Course Chef’s Tasting Menu for $25! Adam has made the 3-course menu a permanent option to the regular menu and will rotate with the availability of produce. This will continuously include an appetizer, entrée and dessert all for only $25! Below is the current menu:
Sliced Heirloom Tomato, Smoky Bacon, & Ranch Dressing Lamb Meatballs with Creamy Orzo “Risotto” & Sweet Pea Vinaigrette Honey Lavender Semifreddo with Moscato Soaked Stone Fruit
As most of you know, Adam is considered Portland’s premiere chef/butcher and he is celebrating his love for meat by adding an “Animal of the Week” menu. After looking at the same animals year in and year out, Adam began to see the meat in a different light. Each week Adam will focus on one animal and create a series of dishes to highlight on the menu, dishes you are very unlikely to see anywhere else. This week he is focusing on lamb, here is the menu to get your mouth watering:
Maple Lamb Sausage on a Corn & Green Onion Cake with Cherry Tomato Salsa $6 Grilled Lamb Leg with Wild Rice, Toasted Sunflower Seeds & Grilled Corn $15 Lamb Meatballs with Creamy Orzo “Risotto” & Sweat Pea Vinaigrette $15 “Flintstone” Chop with Tomato Braised Green Beans & Grilled Scallions $18 Save room for dessert, as it is Pie Season at The Country Cat! Owner/baker Jackie Sappington is busy working away to create delicious treats for the restaurant. Come in and enjoy her Mixed Berry Pie and bring in your friends as the summer continues and more fruit arrives!
