June 28th is Water Avenue Coffee’s two year anniversary from the day they opened the doors to their loft style roasting and retail factory located on SE Taylor and Water Ave. Ever since WAC opened to the public many new businesses have also opened or relocated in the central eastside industrial district including Bunk Bar, Boke Bowl, Clive Coffee, Coava Coffee, Hair of the Dog Brewery, Grant Michael Industrial Antiques and not to mention the soon to be Stumptownmegacenter/roastery located just a couple blocks away.
A trip down to Water Avenue has now become quite the culinary destination with other great destinations like Clark Lewis, Olympic Provisions and Produce Row within stumbling distance. “We love our neighborhood and it has been great to see this area grow over the last two years.” says Matt Milletto, partner at Water Avenue Coffee. “We can’t thank our customers and wholesale accounts enough for believing in us and for the support”.
