Supporting Store to Door of Oregon,
NYC’s Meatopia 2012 & FEAST Portland!
Meatopia 2012
Known as the “Woodstock of Edible Animals,” Meatopia is the nation’s premiere meat-focused culinary one-day extravaganza. 2011 was a great year for Adam Sappington, chef/owner of The Country Cat Dinner House and Bar; the nation buzzed after sampling his Scrapple-Stuffed Pig Head with Oregon Chow Chow. Eater National and South Brooklyn Post both crowned Adam “Best Pork” that year. Now, he is back and ready to celebrate the diversity of meat at this year’s adventure themed “Meatopia 2012: City of Meat.” Tomorrow, Saturday, September 8th, is the day that Adam will be cooking amongst the country’s top chefs in designated “meat-cenric” New York Neighborhoods. This year Adam is mixing things up a bit and serving “Friday Morning” Turkey Trio: Confited Wings, Pope’s Nose, Turkey Scrapple. Yes you read right, turkey scrapple.
Store to Door of Oregon
Thursday, September 13th is a day to give back. The Country Cat will be hosting a fundraiser in support of Store to Door of Oregon in which 10% of the daily proceeds will be donated to aid Portland area seniors and people with disabilities living independently. This non-profit proves a low-cost grocery shopping and home delivery service personalized to meet the health and dietary needs of each individual. Come in, have a delicious meal and show your support! Reservation can be made for parties of four or greater by calling 503.408.1414.
