We wanted to let you know that on Sunday, September 9, St. Jack pastry chef Alissa Rozos will be participating in the Portland Pastry Chefs Association’s first annual Cakewalk. Pastry chefs, bakers, chocolatiers, fromagiers, brew masters, wine makers, distillers, tea makers and coffee roasters will treat guests at the Olympic Mills Commerce Center at 107 SE Washington Street from 5pm to 9pm (21 and over). Event tickets are $35 and proceeds benefit Share Our Strength, Oregon Food Bank and Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon. For an additional donation of $10, guests will be invited to participate in one of 14 cakewalks. Lucky winners will take home original, full-sized creations from the event participants and those who don’t take home a cake will still receive a cupcake for playing along. More information can be found here.
Fluffy madeleines, delicate macaroons and “the best caneles in Portland,” are just a few of Alissa’s signature French delights. We are excited to see her cake at the Cakewalk on September 9, and we hope you will join us for this fun event and support these great causes. We look forward to seeing you there!
Whether or not you can make it to the Cakewalk, you can always stop in to see Alissa and enjoy her tasty treats at Patisserie St. Jack, which is open 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
