Mike Hinds, formerly an assistant at Illahe, is the winemaker and owner of Franchere Wine Company in Oregon’s central Willamette Valley. He named the winery in honor of his great-great-great grandfather, who traveled to Oregon in the early 1800s and helped establish Ft. Astoria.
