Portland, OR – On Saturday April 7 at 12pm Pacific Pie Company will host a reading of Making Piece: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Pie by Beth Howard. Beth is a blogger at theworldneedsmorepie.com and runs the Pitchfork Pie Stand at the famous American Gothic House in Eldon, Iowa. Making Piece is a story of how Beth used America’s quintessential comfort food – pie – to heal after the sudden and devastating death of her husband. As a former Portland resident, Beth has strong ties to the local community, and many of Portland’s best pie shops – including Pacific Pie Co – are mentioned in the book.
Beth will be reading from her newly released book and will also conduct a pie making demonstration.
