NEWS FROM THE KITCHEN-May 2012

Dear Friends of The Kitchen,

I can’t believe we will already be celebrating our 6 month Anniversary this month!

It is time for all of us here at The Kitchen to thank you all for making your way to our store and let us serve you, cook for you and provide you with our hand picked selection of artisan wines! We love it when you come through our front door!

April was a busy month, introducing new items, wine tastings and great dinners. We started to offer most of our sandwiches in half portion accompanied with a cup of soup. We also started our “Breakfast All Day” menu and, a week later, our Brunch Specials. Click here to see the menus.

This month, we are excited to see the first “Milwaukie First Friday” of the season as well as the launch of a new season for the Farmer’s Market, located just one block from The Kitchen every Sunday! Stroll along the market, buy your groceries and come in for brunch with a delicious Bloody Mary or Mimosa!

Friday, May 4th

SPECIAL EVENT

First Friday Happy Hour

5pm to 8pm

This is the first “official” First Friday (we’ve had a couple already at The Kitchen!)

We will be offering Happy Hour from 5pm to 8pm with discounts on wine by the glass; small plates and Pascal will offer a free cooking demonstration at 6:30pm.

You always hear about French Bistro food. Maybe you’ve had it in France or in a French Bistro and you always wanted to learn how to make this honest, comfortable, easy type of cooking at home. Now is the time! Pascal is in his element here, having served these dishes for years at his former restaurant Carafe. The menu contains some of his favorites, including the signature Steak Tartare.
