This Sunday, Nov. 11 is Veteran’s Day, and the first beer’s on us. Lompoc will buy a pint for Veterans and Active Duty Military (one pint per person) at any of our pubs (SUNDAY ONLY). Bring your military ID or proof of service and let us honor you for your service to our country!
Our friends at 442 Soccer Bar will be pouring North End CDA all weekend long. This Cascadian Dark Ale was the winning recipe from the Timbers Army Homebrew Competition, aptly named in honor of those brave souls who sweat it out on the North End of Jeld-Wen Field every game. This Cascadian Dark Ale brings out the best of Portland’s football club. The 442 is located at 1739 SE Hawthorne Blvd – you’ll never miss a soccer game again.
We’ve got a new winter menu at 5Q – swing by and try the new items like Truffle Pub Fries, our amazing fries tossed in truffle oil, pecorino Romano & herbs – yum! Plus lots of other great new items as well. And also at the 5Q is our new tradition: Monday Night Football and Wings! $.50¢ wings from 5pm to close with three sauces to choose from: chipotle buffalo, ginger sesame & Caribbean jerk, all for you!
8 Malty Nights, our Hanukkah seasonal, is rolling off the bottling line as you’re reading this – l’chaim! This is one of two holiday seasonals we’ll offer up in bottles, the other being C-sons Greetings. Both will go on sale at our annual Holiday Release Party, Tuesday, November 27 from 4-10pm at Sidebar. On draft we’ll be releasing Blitzen, Bourbon Barrel Aged Wee Heavy, C-sons Greetings, Franc’ly Brewdolph, Jolly bock, Old Tavern Rat and 8 Malty Nights.
Next Wednesday, Nov. 14, is the event you’ve all been waiting for.. Geraldo Brewvera’s Return to the Vault! Geraldo Brewvera will delve deep into the vault of Hedge House; what will he pull out? Be on-site and find out! Also featuring the release of Scarlet Red, taster trays from the vault & free appetizers! It all takes place from 5-7 pm.
Have you checked out our awesome new outdoor heaters at Oaks Bottom and Hedge House patios? They keep you especially warm on Mondays at Hedge House for Trivia. Sidebar Fireside Trivia is on Thursdays at 7 pm. Trivia will start up at Oaks Bottom in a couple of weeks, stay tuned.
At the end of November, we’ll be bottling Lompoc Special Draft, better known as LSD (yes, that is Buddha Jerry, he’s achieved pure enlightenment with this beer!). LSD will replace Kick Axe for the winter months, so if you love your Kick Axe, better get it while you can!
