Spécial Club Night!
This Saturday, December 15
7PM – 2AM (or ’til they’re gone!)
Champagne’s Spécial Club is a group of Grower-Producers who all have the common goal of promoting the expression of terroir in the region. Members serve as a jury of their peers, voting for the best Champagne of certain vintages which is put into a stout bottle only to be used by those that make the mark. The club was created in 1971 as “Club de Viticulteurs Champenois” (Champagne Club of Wine Growers) with a goal of producing a Champagne of prestige that could be competitive with the négociants. Today, their purpose is not to make a wine to compete with the négociants, but to make something exceptional of their own. “Our Spécial Club Vintages do not seek to imitate those of the great names. Instead they dare to affirm their own identity… Spécial Club wines reflect the spirit of our families, our soils, our passions,” – Didier Gimonnet. This is a very special tasting of exceptional wines offered for a tremendous value!
Six Spécial Clubs will be available as a blind flight and by the glass
