Proceeds to benefit James John Cafe Founder/Owner and long-time Paley’s Place Bar Manager Suzanne Bozarth’s medical expenses from battling breast cancer
PORTLAND, ORE., (July 21, 216) – A longtime member of the Portland food and drink community, Suzanne Bozarth was the bar manager of Northwest’s Paley’s Place till she founded her own establishment, the James John Cafe in St. Johns. Bozarth received a breast cancer diagnosis. After hearing the news, the Portland food and drink community, close friends and family decided to hold a fundraiser to help cover the impending medical expenses that Bozarth would face.
Join the community as they “Kick Cancer’s Butt” at The Colony in Saint Johns with a day-long event on Saturday, July 23rd benefitting Suzanne Bozarth and her medical bills. The festivities will kickoff at with live music all day long from local bands Zozma, Ruidoso, The Doomies, Facetia, and the Standard Keys.
Attendees can support the cause by purchasing food and drink at the event. There will be sandwiches from Bunk Sandwiches, hot dogs and brats from Olympia Provisions, pork loin with sides and sauces, cookies and brownies served by Vitaly Paley, hamburgers and hot dogs from Yakuza Lounge, sandwiches and cookies from Elephant’s Deli, chips and salsa from Hot Mama Salsa and more.
For those 21+ there will also be a beer garden featuring 6 Barrel Brewing and beer donated by Royale Brewing, Coalition Brewing, PBR and Mead Mosaic.
There will also be a silent auction with items up for bid from establishments such as Le Pigeon, Elephant’s Deli, Kruger’s Farm, Lombard Tattoo, Yakuza Lounge, Nonna, DOC, Salty Teacup, The Grind, Beer Porches, Signal Station, Elephants Deli, Dynamic Therapies, and many more. Bidding will be open from 11am-5pm. Come help kick cancer’s butt!
