Jenn Louis will be joining Michael Symon and Food & Wine’s Best New Chef Jonathon Sawyer with an an all-star list of national chef talent at a benefit for Cleveland’s West Side Market. The Centennial Gala, which will be held on Saturday, November 3rd will commemorate the first day of the Market’s next 100 years.
Since opening on Nov. 2, 1912, visitors have flocked to the Market, which is home to more than 100 culturally diverse vendors. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Market is a symbol of the many nationalities that settled in Cleveland in the early 1900’s and celebrated their heritage through the art of cooking. Further, it’s an iconic representation of the vital role markets serve in incubating small businesses, increasing access to fresh foods and supporting regional food economies.
In addition to Louis, Sawyer and Simon, other chef’s include April Bloomfield, Paul Kahan, Michael Ruhlman, Jonathan Waxman and others.
