Kimpton hotel raises a stein to Oktoberfest
What: A celebration of Oktoberfest at Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco with an entire evening devoted to Portland’s liquid love – beer.
In partnership with Widmer Brothers Brewing, Hotel Monaco will brew up an evening of contests and competitions for the entire Portland community. Winners will receive free night stays at Hotel Monaco and a beer-paired dinner at Red Star Tavern. The Oktoberfest celebration includes:
- · A beer stein holding competition (Masskrugstemmen) testing the strength and stamina of the contestants
- · A beer-chugging challenge where the fastest time wins*
- · An Oktoberfest ‘Mug Shot’ costume contest for the most festive party-goer, with the best beer garb
Mix and mingle with our emcee, Byron Beck along with our judging panel of local beer aficionados. Don’t miss special Oktoberfest Beer Cocktails and beer snacks from Red Star Tavern’s Chef Kyle Rourke.
