PORTLAND, Ore. (Oct. 18, 2011) – Holiday tea at Pix Pâtisserie gives traditional and formal tea service a new twist with 16 sweet and savory bite-sized treats, along with a pot of tea from local tea shop, Townshend’s Alberta Tea House. Pix also has something for those looking to add a little sparkle to their tea experience with their more than 60 sparkling wine selections, including 50 picks of grower/producer champagnes. Bubbles are available by the bottle, 1/2 bottle and two to three are available each day by the glass. In December, the number of bubbly options will jump to 100 as Pix heads into its annual Bubbly Spectacular. From Spécial Club Champagne to affordable quality Cava’s, Pix has something for every bubbly lover! The tea menu is $30 per person and served at the North Williams Pix Pâtisserie location every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturdays during the month of December from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are required and taken through Friday at noon each week at 503-282-6539.
Guests of Pix’s Holiday Tea will receive top quality sweet and savory bites served on a silver platter along with tea served from a classic tea set. The menu is a mélange of the classics like cucumber sandwiches and little opera cakes and something a bit more sophisticated such as sesame quail eggs in prosciutto, chocolat chaud and precious bite-sized mousse cakes, all of which are made in house.
“Having tea is about enjoying time with friends while indulging in little gastronomical treats. Pix makes that happen by providing a casual atmosphere, affordable price and, most importantly, truly delicious and charming bite-sized treats with beverages that will impress any connoisseur,” said owner Cheryl Wakerhauser.
