Geraldo Brewvera & St Patrick

Hi Lompoc friends! Wanted to let you know that Geraldo Brewvera is going treasure hunting again. Join Lompoc founder Jerry Fechter’s alterego, Geraldo Brewvera, this Wednesday, March 13th from 5 to 7pm. Following in the footsteps of the intrepid Geraldo Rivera who opened Al Capone’s vault, our Geraldo will venture into the “vault” at Oaks Bottom Public House, 1621 SE Bybee Blvd. What will he find? That’s the delicious mystery of it all. We’ll be serving up taster trays of whatever he unearths, along with the release of Cherry Wheat, a wheat ale brewed in August 2011 with 200 lbs of sour cherries and aged in Maryhill Winery Port barrels for two months. It has a slight oak aroma with a crisp cherry flavor, finishing slightly tart. Wednesday is also Trivia Night at Oaks Bottom with Katie Shimer on the patio starting at 7pm, so by all means, stay and play!

If you find yourself on the North side of town on Wednesday instead, then pop on over to Sidebar, where we’ll be serving up Calling All Monsters IPA, the intensely hopped third installment in our sci-fi IPA series; Franc’ly Brewdolph Belgian style Red Ale; Bourbon Barrel Aged Monster Mash, aged for two years in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels; Batch 69 Baltic Porter; Fool’s Golden Ale, and Kick Axe Dry Hopped Pale Ale. Sidebar is open from 4 to 10pm on Wednesday, but closed on Thursday for a private party.

Friday & Saturday, Sidebar will open back up and serve Calling All Monsters IPA, 2011 Fresh Hop Harvest Man Red, 2012 8 Malty Nights, 2012 Brewdolph, Willy’s Wheat & Kick Axe.

This weekend is St. Patrick’s Day, and we’ll be celebrating at Fifth Quadrant, Oaks Bottom & Hedge House starting on Friday and rolling through Sunday. Come enjoy live Irish music on the radio, Corned Beef & Cabbage, Irish drink specials and Stout Out Loud on Nitro – no cover charge. Because if it’s not Irish, it’s crap!

Kick AxePortland Timbers play our arch rivals, the Seattle Sounders, this Saturday – if you’re staying in town, come watch the game at any of the Lompoc pubs and be sure to grab a pint of Kick Axe Dry Hopped Pale Ale: Fit for an Army!

Have a great week, and remember:  Drink Local. Drink Lompoc!
