Acadia Bistro Celebrates Christmas New Orleans-Style with Réveillion Dinner
December 3, 2012 – Portland, OR – Acadia Bistro is inviting Portlanders to make merry in good NoLa fashion this holiday season by joining the restaurant for a Réveillion Dinner on Christmas Eve. Derived from the French word for “awakening,” réveillon originally was a meal served after midnight mass on Christmas Eve. Hungry families returning from late-night church services would set upon a feast prepared in advance and laid out on the table or sideboard.
