Portland’s whiskey-focused distillery teams up with bars & restaurants across the city to celebrate Oregon Single Malt and the burgeoning Oregon Whiskey movement.
Portland, Ore. (March 9, 2017) — Bull Run Distillery, Portland’s whiskey-focused distillery that recently unveiled its Oregon Single Malt Whiskey aged for 4+ years, is teaming up with bars and restaurants across the city for Oregon Whiskey Hour.
“Oregon whiskey is a young category with a distinct flavor profile, especially when compared to whiskies around the world,” says founder/distiller Lee Medoff. “With Oregon Whiskey Hour, we hope to strike up a conversation about Oregon terroir as it relates to whiskey and talk to Portlanders about what makes Oregon whiskey so unique and special.”
During Oregon Whiskey Hour, Medoff will play guest distiller for the evening at bars and restaurants around the city, pouring tastes of Bull Run’s newly release Oregon Single Malt Whiskey while striking up conversations with guests about this exciting new category emerging in Oregon. Partner bartenders will create special cocktails and in some instances, the whiskey will be featured alongside food pairings from partner chefs.
Oregon Whiskey Hour will next pop up at Northwest Portland’s Fireside on Wednesday, March 15, where Distiller Lee Medoff will be on site offering tastes of his Oregon Single Malt and celebrating all things Oregon Whiskey.
